At its heart is a breathtaking 4.310ct briolette diamond, repurposed from the collection of renowned British jeweller and goldsmith John Donald. Known for his bold, sculptural designs and innovative use of briolette diamonds, Donald was a pioneer in modern jewellery design during the mid-20th century, creating pieces favoured by royalty and collectors alike.
 
This particular diamond, near-colourless (G/H) and SI2 clarity, carries the marks of its ancient origin, including carbon deposits that reflect its billion-year formation process. Its excellent triangular facet cut ensures dazzling brilliance as it dances with light. Measuring 10.20mm long, 8mm wide, and 6.10mm thick, this gemstone’s unique history and craftsmanship make it truly one of a kind.
 
The diamond is set in a newly handcrafted 18ct yellow gold cap, designed to echo the triangular facets of the stone with its complementary geometric pattern. The pendant measures 16mm in length, including a 5mm bail that allows versatility in pairing it with a chain of your choice.
 
Briolette diamonds, first popularised in the 17th century, are prized for their elegant teardrop shape and the way their intricate facets reflect light. This rare cut, revived in modern designs, remains a symbol of sophistication and craftsmanship.
