A beautifully refined Belle Époque diamond bow ring, showcasing the romantic elegance of turn-of-the-century French design.
The bow is platinum-topped with fine millegrain detailing and set with two old European-cut diamonds at its centre, approximately 0.23ct and 0.17ct, flanked by smaller early-cut accent diamonds. These smaller stones are a combination of traditional rose cuts and early flat-cut / single-facet diamonds, a period-correct choice that offers a soft, antique glow. Total diamond weight is approximately 0.45–0.50 carats.
The bow measures 11.5mm wide by 8.5mm long and is beautifully balanced on the finger. The shank is crafted in 18ct yellow gold, stamped '750', tapering elegantly from 2.5mm at the shoulders to 1.25mm at the back. While the shank is likely a later replacement, a very common and sympathetic update for rings of this age, the bow front is original to the Belle Époque period and remains wonderfully preserved.
In very good antique condition, albeit with some tiny nibbles to some diamond girdles and the edges of a few of the smallest accent stones, visible only under magnification and entirely consistent with age and gentle wear over more than a century.
A timeless and feminine antique ring, perfect worn alone or layered with modern bands for a beautifully curated look.
