A one-of-a-kind jewel reimagined from two exceptional antiques: a late Victorian–early Edwardian diamond and platinum brooch (c. 1890–1910) and an Edwardian to early Art Deco bicolour watch chain in 18ct gold and platinum with coveted trombone and knot links (c. 1905–1925). Together, they form a striking necklace full of movement, sparkle and beautifully preserved craftsmanship.
 
At the centre hangs an articulated drop of 16 bright, hand-cut old mine cut diamonds (approx. 0.68ctw), each stone displaying the softly pillowed shape, open culet and individual charm that define 19th-century diamond cutting. The largest diamond measures approximately 3.9 x 3.7 mm (approx. 0.20ct). Each segment holds a single diamond, with the central winged elements set with two diamonds each.
 
Suspended from a beautifully textured platinum and 18ct gold bicolour watch chain, the necklace blends cool platinum with warm gold tones. The chain measures 16.25 inches, with the diamond section spanning 3 inches and offering a graceful 10mm drop. Finished with an antique bolt ring stamped with a softly faded “18”.
 
In excellent antique condition, with only minor age-related nibbles to a few diamonds, visible solely under magnification.
