Add an astounding piece of history to your jewellery collection with this beautiful chunky spinning fob!
On one side of the fob is an agate intaglio seal with the Eliot Family Crest hand-carved into the face of the agate. The Eliot family date back to at least the 1500s, with the most notable family member being Sir John Eliot (1592-1632), an English statesman who was serially imprisoned in the Tower of London by King Charles I for advocating the rights and privileges of Parliament.
This spinning fob most definitely belonged to a distinguished gentleman; this is easy to see from the superior craftsmanship of the piece and that it is a heavy fob made from solid 18-carat gold.
A buttery rich yellow gold colour, the bloodstone and agate on either side of the spinning fob are offset beautifully by the 18ct yellow gold.
In excellent antique condition, this historical piece is stamped "18".
