This sublime Austro-Hungarian 14ct gold biker chain is exquisitely handmade, with solid gold links that are filed at an angle and polished to catch the light beautifully; you won't find another like this in a hurry!
She is an antique conversion piece, made with Austro-Hungarian chain links dating to the late 19th century, c. 1872-1901, and the addition of a bolt ring and dog clip clasp, both European and Victorian-era.
The chain links have been converted from a long guard chain that was in need of alteration having been damaged by its previous keeper. The damaged links could not be saved and so we decided its legacy would be best served as separate chains, sourcing the bolt ring and dog clip to perfectly compliment this remaining section of beautiful biker links that are all in marvellous antique condition.
There are some signs of minor repairs to a few of the links that have been performed with 18-carat gold that is ever so slightly yellower in colour. The repair is not noticeable at all when worn and it does not detract from the beauty of this stunning rare chain.
The shimmery gold colour is a typical antique 14ct gold; a warm gold tone, almost a soft peachy colour, that pairs well with other gold carats and colours.
She looks incredible when worn alone or layered with your other chains and gemstone necklaces! The styling possibilities are endless with this magical piece.
