An utterly charming and characterful antique Victorian snake head, beautifully decorated with intricate floral and foliate engraving, vibrant turquoise cabochons, deep red garnet eyes and a sparkling oval-faceted rock crystal with original pink foil backing.
The pink foil creates beautiful flashes of soft pink through the otherwise colourless stone, adding a gorgeous contrast to the rich yellow gold tones of the engraved snake head.
Likely originally part of an antique necklace or bracelet clasp, the snake head retains an original barrel clasp fitting at one end. We've added a 9ct gold swivel dog clip to transform this beautiful antique into a wonderfully versatile chain extender.

The antique snake head is crafted in approximately 8ct gold with a higher-carat gold wash, whilst the added dog clip and bolt ring are 9ct gold (all XRF tested). The slightly different gold tones blend beautifully together and complement higher-carat gold chains, as demonstrated in our photographs.
