LUCILLE LONDON logo

An exceptionally elegant antique platinum dress chain featuring a series of elongated navette-shaped enamel stations rendered in the most striking electric cobalt blue.

Each station is decorated with a crisp angular chevron pattern beneath translucent guilloché-style enamel, creating a remarkable play of light across the surface. As the chain moves, the enamel shifts from deep sapphire blue to flashes of almost violet-blue and icy steel-blue, giving the piece an iridescent quality rarely seen in antique enamel work.

The combination of platinum and vivid blue enamel feels distinctly modern despite its age, resulting in a necklace that is effortlessly wearable today. The slender proportions and refined station design allow it to be worn alone as a delicate statement or layered beautifully with other antique chains.

The style is strongly evocative of the Edwardian and early Art Deco periods, when platinum jewellery reached the height of fashion and geometric decorative motifs began to emerge. The repeating angular pattern within the enamel stations feels particularly transitional, sitting comfortably between late Edwardian elegance and the developing geometry of the 1910s and early 1920s.

The necklace remains in very good antique condition, with only the most minor enamel wear visible under close inspection and slight misshaping to one or two tiny connecting links consistent with age and use. The enamel remains wonderfully vibrant throughout and presents beautifully when worn.

A wonderfully unusual collector's piece and a rare opportunity to acquire an antique enamelled platinum chain in such an arresting colourway.
